Lord John of Southwark OBE
(Non-Executive Chairman)
Lord John is a well-respected former local government leader – having been Leader of Southwark Council for 10 years and Chair of London Councils. During his time in Southwark he promoted and oversaw significant economic growth and housing delivery – with major projects from the Elephant & Castle to Blackfriars and Canada Water.
A practising barrister, Lord John is an experienced Chair and non-executive, sitting on the boards of a number of different organisations in the private and third sector. He has considerable experience of planning and the built environment.
Marc Pennick
With over 25 years’ experience in the property industry spanning construction, technical and development roles, with an extensive track record in Greater London, Marc has worked as director of Barratt London for over 18 years and advisory roles with A2 Dominion Group, and Arab Investments.
Marc, is also the founder of Fifth Capital London who is delivering regeneration projects with Railpen Pension Fund and numerous London Borough’s on affordable housing supply.
Craig Satchwell
Craig is a market leader in creative project funding structures, with a proven track record of delivering over £1 billion in innovative funding solutions across the UK housing sector.
Over the past seven years, he has advised public sector bodies, housing associations, and institutional investors on structuring and delivering long-term capital to unlock complex and previously unviable regeneration and housing delivery schemes.
Most recently, Craig advised Phoenix Group on the provision of over £230 million in long-term funding to Westminster City Council for the acquisition of more than 360 homes in London from A2Dominion. This landmark transaction secures the properties for use as high-quality temporary accommodation and demonstrates the power of institutional capital in supporting public sector housing outcomes.
Craig is also a Director of BSB, where he continues to lead on structuring and delivering innovative housing investment models that meet the needs of local authorities and housing providers.
Peter Murphy
Peter Murphy is an experienced Development Director with a multi-disciplinary background in engineering, business development, and property development. Starting out as a Chartered Civil Engineer with the John Laing Group, he transitioned from technical and commercial roles into property development in 1987. His career includes senior positions with leading organisations such as Bovis International, Barratt Homes, Berkeley Group, and Avanton, as well as consultancy work with smaller developers.
Over the past three decades as a Development Director, Peter has led major residential and mixed-use schemes across London and the South-East, including large urban regeneration projects at Great West Quarter, West Hendon, Stonegrove, White City, and Aylesbury East. His work combines technical expertise with commercial and planning insight to deliver complex, high-value developments.
Tony Iannaccone
Tony has over 37 years of experience in working in the construction industry, following his qualification to the RICS as a Chartered Building Surveyor. Prior to joining Silver in 1989, he joined two private practices working as a Building Surveyor on projects ranging from refurbishments, conversions, and property repair programmes predominantly in the residential sector. During the early 1990’s, Tony gained experience in project management and employers’ agent roles and since then has now led the delivery as development manager and project manager of a significant number of new-build developments, regeneration projects, joint-venture, master-planning, repairs programmes, and infrastructure delivery across all sectors, to a range of contract values up-to circa £1.2 billion.
Tony became a Partner at Silver in 1996, and CEO from 2014, and has recently stepped down from his role to support H4L in their programme delivery.
Andrew Sivess
Andrew has over 30 years of experience in housing, regeneration and investment, delivering General Fund housing initiatives outside of the HRA at Barking & Dagenham and establishing their General Fund investment strategy and Schools PFI programme.
This has originated investment from the European Investment Bank, Green Investment Bank, private equity and institutional investment to support housing, energy, school and commercial investment. Andrew was latterly Head of Housing Transactions at the GLA for non-grant housing delivery, originating the Mount Anvil equity loan deal, and is currently working with Fifth Capital to help unlock and fund stalled regeneration schemes in London.
John Knevett (Non-Executive Director)
John has worked in housing for over 30 years, leading the commercial, development, regeneration and sales functions and overseeing both the affordable and private business streams for A2Dominion as the Group’s Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Commercial Officer from 1988 to 2018, developing over 1,000 homes p.a. Prior to the formation of A2Dominion, John was Chief Executive for A2 Housing Group, a business with £120m turnover and £1.5bn asset base.
John serves on the board of Elivia Homes and is Chair of Orchard & Shipman Homes. John is a member of the Institute of Structural Engineers and the Institute of Maintenance and Building Management. John’s project experiences are hugely diverse ranging from the UK’s first Eco town in Oxfordshire through to large JV regeneration projects in London.
